🐥 Annual Chick Day! @ Freedom AG & Energy Cooperative
This one’s hard to explain until you go.
You walk in, and it’s the sound first. Chirping everywhere. Rows of baby chicks, different breeds, people picking them out, asking questions, planning their setups.
You’ll see families, longtime locals, and a few people who said, “We’re just looking,” and then leave with a box.

🎆 Fireworks Pageant @ Alderson Elementary School
This is part of the lead-up to Alderson’s Fourth of July celebration, which is known as one of the largest small-town parades in the country.
